ABOUT THE ATELIER

Atelier
Hendriksen.

Handcrafted furniture, bespoke interiors and light installations.

The story
behind the work.

Wouter Hendriksen started as a furniture maker, with formal craft training as his foundation. That background informs the furniture and interiors he designs and makes.

Our early commissions came from different directions. For Larry’s on Amsterdam’s Kinkerstraat, we conceived and built a complete takeaway restaurant, from concept to execution. Two previously unused spaces at LAB111 followed, each given a new purpose.

Bespoke furniture and interiors remain the foundation of the atelier. Light installations are a recent addition: a new direction that brings together material, form and light.

Wouter Hendriksen regularly works with Studio Koen Steger. This collaboration brings together spatial design, light and craftsmanship, including The Ripple and the spaces at LAB111.

We like to get involved early, while an idea still leaves room to explore what works. At our atelier in Ouderkerk aan de Amstel, we develop and make the work before installing it at the client’s location.
