This page explains what happens to your data when you visit this website, send a message or open the Google map. For additional processing during a commission, you receive information specific to that commission.

Who is responsible?

Atelier Hendriksen is responsible for processing personal data for contact and commissions. Contact us at wouter@atelierhendriksen.com or +31 6 2365 1422. Our address is Ambachtenstraat 11, 1191 JM Ouderkerk aan de Amstel, the Netherlands; Chamber of Commerce 65528352.

Contact form and email

The form asks for your name, email address, subject and message. A phone number is optional. The selected language is also sent. Your name and email help us answer your enquiry; the form cannot be submitted without the required fields. You can also email or call directly. Do not send identity documents, medical information or other sensitive personal data through the form.

We use the data to answer your message and, if requested, prepare and perform a quotation or commission. For enquiries directed towards a contract, the legal basis is taking pre-contractual steps or performing the contract. For other correspondence, the basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries and organising our service, balanced against your privacy interests. Sending a message does not give consent to newsletters or advertising.

The form sends your message through Formspree, Inc., an external form service. It also processes technical data such as your IP address and browser information for delivery and security. Data may be processed in the United States. Formspree states that, as a processor, it uses Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) for international transfers. The actual contractual arrangements with this service must meet GDPR requirements; referring to a provider’s policy does not replace that obligation. Website, map and cookies

This website is served through ChatGPT Sites, using OpenAI and Cloudflare hosting infrastructure. Technical data such as IP address, requested page, browser type and time may be processed to deliver and secure pages. The purpose is a functioning, secure website. This technical processing may take place internationally. The precise processing and retention by hosting services are determined by their service terms and privacy information. OpenAI · Cloudflare.

The website code contains no advertising pixels or its own analytics cookies. Fonts and project photos load from this website. The Google map does not load automatically: your browser connects to Google only after you choose ‘Load Google map’. Your IP address, browser data and cookies may then be sent to Google, including outside the European Economic Area. Google may use this data according to its privacy policy, including for services, personalisation and advertising. You can leave the map disabled and use the address without loading Google.

The map choice is remembered only for the open page. You can disable it using ‘Close Google map’. This stops further map requests on that page but does not erase data or cookies already received by Google; manage cookies in your browser. External directions and other links take you to the selected service, where its own privacy policy applies. Google privacy policy.

Recipients and retention

Your contact details and message are received by Atelier Hendriksen and engaged form, email and hosting services insofar as needed for their tasks. Project information is shared with relevant contractors, advisers or administrative providers only where necessary and lawful. Required processing arrangements and transfer safeguards must be recorded.

Retention follows these criteria: correspondence for as long as needed to handle the enquiry and follow-up; commission data for as long as needed for performance, warranty and establishing or defending legal claims; administrative records for the applicable statutory retention period. Data must then be deleted or anonymised unless a specific legal reason requires longer retention. A deletion request also considers data held by engaged services. Ask our contact address for the concrete retention period and transfer safeguards for your data.

Your rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal data insofar as provided by the GDPR. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. Send requests to wouter@atelierhendriksen.com; we respond within one month unless the GDPR permits a justified extension. We may ask for limited additional information to verify your identity securely; do not send an identity document copy without being asked.

You may complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority or your competent data protection authority independently of a request to us. Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Automated decisions and photographs

The contact form does not make automated decisions about accepting a commission. The form service may apply technical spam filtering. Publication of identifiable people or private projects is arranged separately; a message or acceptance of the terms does not give blanket consent.
